In the summer of 2012 the Kode Art Museum in Bergen, Norway, hosted a group exhibition called ‘Desire’ featuring the work of thirty young artists. The work which seemed to catch the imagination of most visitors the most was a series of large black and white canvases by the young local artist Steingrim Veum, which came to be known collectively as ‘Orgy’.

Steingrim Veum grew up in Drammen, near Oslo, and studied art at the School of the Arts in Bergen from 2003 to 2005; he first exhibited in the school’s Autumn Exhibition in 2009. He now lives in Oslo.
