We have titled this anonymous portfolio ‘Inlassablement’ (Tirelessly) after the caption to the first drawing of the series. An amateur but clearly talented artist has used their imagination to the full in creating this highly erotic and colourful visual narrative, which appears from the note on one of the drawings – P68 (page 68) – to be read alongside an existing text. If you can identify such a text from the captions, which are probably direct quotations, we would love to know.

There is no date to the portfolio, but from the style of underwear and the tight jumper of the seventh drawing we are placing it somewhere in the early 1940s.
