During his lifetime Serre was not particularly known for an erotic take on life, but shortly after his death Glénat published a collection of his more risqué images, demonstrating yet again his quirky take on everyday life. Using his name as the cue, they titled it …vice compris (Vice Included, a play on Serre-vice compris – ‘service compris’ or ‘service charge included’).

From the short-sighted client propositioning a suit of armour to the fishermen and their girlfriends discussing the size of their catch, each image is a small masterpiece in erotic humour, well worth spending enough time with to enjoy the joke to the full.
