Célia was one of Hugues’ earliest erotic characters, and it shows. Célia is fifteen, and her sexual juices are beginning to flow copiously. With the help of her friend Laura, and inspired by her separated mother and her lesbian friend, page after page is filled with naked female bodies encouraging each other to explore, entwine and exclaim. Célia was published under Hugues’ Mancini pseudonym.

The drawing quality is adequate, but it can be hard to distinguish one pink body from another, and the plot development is negligible. However, Célia did continue for several years, her exploits collected into four French hardback books. What we offer here is the first half of the first book, in a rather crudely-coloured English version – you can see the rest of the story, together with the other three Célia books, online here.
