Stunden der Liebe (Hours of love) is a series of twelve engravings plus a title page created by Janowski probably as a Christmas gift for his closest (and richest) friends. The cover suggests that this is the first of a series, but there were never any more. The subtitle is Freie Kupfer aus dem galantes Zeitalter (Free Etchings from Gallant Times), and the scenes are fairly typical pseudo-historic with an erotic edge; as such they demonstrate Janowski’s technique rather than a vivid imagination.

Stunden der Liebe was published by Alf Hoennicke, Charlottenburg, under an ‘Aus Arkadien’ (From Arcadia) imprint. It was produced in a limited numbered edition of thirty copies ‘Für einen privaten Kreis von Freunden’ (for a private circle of friends).
